Photo Strip from the Cincinnati Observatory’s 175th Anniversary Celebration

On November 9, 1843, the cornerstone of the first building of the Cincinnati Observatory was placed at the top of Mt. Adams, just a few feet from where the Monastery Event Center stands today. The observatory has since moved to Mt. Lookout, but to celebrate their terquasquicentennial (to sound fancy, I looked up the proper name for 175th anniversary) the observatory held their “Celebrate the Stars” event at the Monastery last night.

Flash Cube Photo Booths was to help celebrate the event and provide printed mementos of the evening to commemorate the event – some of which are seen here and the rest can be seen in our Facebook gallery of the event.

The Monastery Event Center is one of the most beautiful and in-demand wedding venues in the region and it was a treat to see the inside. The space it gorgeous, and the vaulted ceiling was lit up like a planetarium for the event, a nice extra touch.

Also there was Anastasia of Chapel Lane Photography to take photos of attendees and the ceremony.
