Promont is a historic house museum in Milford, OH which can be rented for weddings and other events. This historic, 1865 home’s most famous former resident was John M. Pattison, Ohio’s 43rd governor. Now operated by the Greater Milford Area Historical Society, Promont is available for event rentals, either with the house, or outside under a tent on their five acre lawn.
The home has Victorian, Italianate architecture, and is restored to as it would have been when the former governor resided there circa 1900. It holds many attractive details inside and out, with the most noted feature being its four story tower. The house can host up to 35 people for a seated reception. Outside, the grounds are limited to a capacity of 150 people.
Promont Event Costs
Like many venues run by non-profit organizations, the Promont is an affordable place to hold an event. House rentals start at $600, and a grounds rental has a wide range depending on when the event is held and what is included in a rental. Thus outdoor events can run as low as $200 up to over $6,000.
Promont allows the use of outside caterers, and has a preferred vendor list for many services.
