Over the years, we’ve been to many wedding and event venues in Cincinnati and the surrounding Southwest Ohio area, as well as Northern Kentucky. Some years back, we posted an article about wedding venues just in the downtown area, which since then has been our most popular article. We’ll try to put together the best, unbiased resource for where to hold your reception or other event throughout the region here, featuring photos, information on size and style, as well as pricing when available.
Historic mansion and outdoor tent venue in Milford, OH. Up to 150 people
A mansion venue in College Hill. Incredible Gilded Age architecture with immaculate grounds.
Cooper Creek Event Center – Blue Ash, OH
Large, high end event center overlooking the Blue Ash Golf Course. High level of service with great reviews. Seating up to 350 .
Receptions Event Center – Fairfield, OH
Large event center in Fairfield, OH with four large spaces accommodated from under 100 to over 400 people. Attractive spaces with neutral decor
Norlyn Manor – Bavatia, OH Beautiful large reception hall with four rooms, a chapel, and outside gazebo. Beautiful building and grounds. Seating for 100 to 650 people.
Rolling Meadows Ranch – Lebanon, OH A 40 acre farm and barn wedding ceremony and reception venue located east of Lebanon, OH. Beautiful, purpose-built barn with cement flooring, an enormous stone fireplace focal point, exposed wood beams, and heating and air conditioning.
Cincinnati Observatory – Cincinnati Cincinnati’s historic observatory, this smaller venue (50-100 people) is a park-like, affordable option in the Mt. Lookout neighborhood. Definitely a must-see option for the space nerd couple.
The Place Party Hall – Elmwood Place, OH – Affordable hall space geared towards DIY events and tight budgets. Capacity of 170 people
Anderson Pavilion – Cincinnati Large modern space in Smale Riverfront Park. Great views of the park, Ohio River, and Roebling Bridge
Monastery Event Center – Cincinnati Large converted church, high above downtown. Beautiful historic building, church-like setting, great views.
Longworth Hall Event Center – Cincinnati Located in the enormous Longworth Hall Building just west of downtown, this is one of the larger event spaces with a capacity of 400 people. Industrial aesthetic, with exposed brick and steel beams. Rare feature for downtown venues – ample free parking!
Contemporary Art Center – Cincinnati Several spaces are available to rent in Cincinnati’s modern art museum, including the first floor.
Heritage Hall Banquet Center – Goshen Ohio A 150 person capacity banquet hall in the eastern suburbs. Affordable with outdoor wedding space available
The Center – Cincinnati – Located in downtown Cincinnati just a block from Fountain Square, The Center is a unique venue in the heart of the city. Located on the second floor of the Mercantile Building, it’s an expansive modern space.
Spot on West Fifth – Cincinnati – This downtown event space is located in a historic building just across the street from the Duke Energy Convention Center. Saturday rentals start at $5,000 and include the space (225-250 person capacity), tables and chairs.
Grandstand Room, Miami Valley Gaming – Lebanon Ohio One of the largest single room spaces available in the area that we’re aware of, with space for over 600 guests.
The Phoenix – Cincinnati The Phoenix is a historic rental space in downtown Cincinnati that also hosts a large outside catering company (available at many other venues) and restaurant. I find the Phoenix to be one of the most beautiful buildings in the city, just north of the lovely Garfield Park. Ample parking nearby. Reception rentals are sold as a package with the in-house catering service on a per-head pricing model, with a 75 person minimum.
HJ Benken Florist and Garden Center – Silverton Ohio How’s this for unique – hold your reception in a greenhouse! Benken Florist has conservatory-type greenhouse with large tropical plants for decoration, an outdoor patio, and a lakeside area to hold wedding ceremonies and receptions. A unique, beautiful space on the affordable side.
Krohn Conservatory – Cincinnati Ohio This Eden Park gem is available for rent throughout the year, including during the Butterfly Show and holiday show. The space is on the more affordable side (oddly Monday’s rate is the same as Saturday’s), as many Cincinnati Parks options are, though there are required vendors, including a selection of caterers.
