Newport Syndicate – Newport, KY | Flash Cube Photo Booths

The Newport Syndicate is a large, long-running venue located in central Newport. It has several rooms to choose from, with most receptions held in the Ambassador Room (capacity 300) or Grand Ballroom (capacity 500). For the past 20+ years, it’s been one of the top spots in Northern Kentucky to hold weddings and receptions, and is noted for being LGBTQ friendly.

The Grand Ballroom

The Grand Ballroom is located on the main floor and is huge. With seating for up to 400 people (500 when opened up to the adjacent Flamingo Room), it’s one of the largest single spaces in Northern Kentucky. This room features a hardwood dance floor as well as an elevated stage for DJs or bands to perform. Compared to the Ambassador Room, this room has a much brightly, lighter color scheme.

Many ceremonies are held in the Flamingo Room, especially if renting the Grand Ballroom for the reception

The Ambassador Room

This elegant space has a large seating area, sunken dance floor, and a small room to the side where people put candy bars and often the photo booth (but we always suggest putting the booth close to the bar if possible)

The Ambassador Room is the one we’ve been at the most here. It’s a very unique space with seating for up to 300 people, and a large bar near the entrance. Marble features heavily throughout – on columns, walls, and the bar. It’s a very attractive space with darker decor which is a rare find if it interests you. The most unique feature, however, is a sunken dance floor next to the DJ booth that’s just a really cool set up. With rails set up around it, you can have people circle around for dances to get great photos.

Catering is available from the Syndicate’s in-house kitchen only, and has some pretty affordable options, with prices starting at $34.95 per person on Friday, and $44.95 per person on Saturday, and not climbing much above $60 per person.

Location, Nearby Amenities, and More

The Syndicate is easy to access, close to downtown Cincinnati and about 1.5 miles for the nearest exit on I-471. Most parking in the area is paid, either at meters or a large pay lot across the street. In the very rare case that lot is full, ample parking is at the Newport on the Levee garage three block away. For after-party options, the Gangsters Dueling Piano Bar is right next door, and with the same ownership, you’ll see it’s highly recommended by this venue. A hotel is now at Newport on the Levee. Many options for after-parties and hotels are available in downtown Cincinnati as well.
